Privacy policy
This website was built to collect as little about you as possible. There are no user accounts or analytics tools on it. Below I describe exactly what happens when you visit it.
What this policy covers
This document describes the use of the website only - what data arises in connection with displaying it and which external services it relies on.
Information about the processing of health data - interviews, questionnaires, food diaries, and test results - is provided to you separately when we begin working together. None of it is collected by this website.
Data controller
The data controller is Beata Sadowska.
For all matters concerning personal data, you can write to hello@bettysadowska.com.
Data collected by the website
The website does not use user accounts, login, analytics, or statistical tools.
If you use the contact form, you can provide your name, email address, message subject, and content. This data is transferred for the purpose of handling the message and providing a response.
Providing data in the form is voluntary, but providing your name, email address, and message content is necessary to send the form and receive a reply.
The website does not use this data for automated profiling or sending marketing materials.
The typefaces used on the site are stored on the same server as the site itself - thanks to this, displaying them does not connect to any external service.
Contact form
The contact form is used to allow you to send a message and establish contact with the controller.
In the form, you can provide your name, email address, message subject, and content. The data is processed in order to handle the sent message, reply, conduct related correspondence, and - if the message concerns starting cooperation - take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
The technical transmission of the form takes place via the Web3Forms service. Data entered into the form is sent to this service at the time of submission and then forwarded to the controller's inbox.
The email address provided in the form is also used as a reply-to address for the message.
The form contains an invisible technical field used to protect against automated spam messages. This field is not used for profiling users.
Legal basis and purposes of processing
Data sent via the form is processed to reply to your message and conduct correspondence. Depending on the circumstances, the legal basis may be Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - the legitimate interest of the controller consisting in handling inquiries and communicating with people interested in services - or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, if processing is necessary to take steps prior to entering into a contract at your request.
If the controller bases specific processing on consent, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. In such a case, consent can be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
I do not use data from the form for marketing purposes or automated decision-making concerning users.
Health data
The contact form is not intended for collecting health-related data. Please do not send test results, information about illnesses, medications taken, diagnoses, or other detailed health-related information through it.
If such information is voluntarily sent despite this request, it may constitute a special category of personal data. Its processing may be subject to additional requirements under Art. 9 GDPR. Detailed rules for processing such data are provided separately in connection with the start of cooperation.
Cookies
The website itself does not set any cookies.
The exception is the 'Book a visit' page, which displays an interactive location map. Downloading the map from OpenStreetMap servers results in storing a technical cookie named _osm_totp_token. It serves to protect those servers against abuse and is not used for tracking or profiling. No script running on the site has access to it.
You can block cookies in your browser settings. In that case, the map may not display - the rest of the site will function normally.
External services
To display the website, two external services are used which, due to how the internet works, receive your device's IP address:
External services may process technical data in accordance with their own privacy policies. In the case of transferring data outside the European Economic Area, appropriate data transfer mechanisms required by applicable law apply.
- OpenStreetMap - provides the map background on the 'Book a visit' page. The connection occurs only when displaying this page.
- Cloudflare - website hosting. It handles requests and logs them in technical logs.
- Web3Forms - handles the technical transmission of messages from the contact form. Data entered into the form is transferred to Web3Forms at the time of submission so the message can be delivered to the controller.
Email contact
If you write to the address provided on the website or use the contact form, your email address, name, and message content may be stored in the controller's inbox.
Data is used solely to reply, conduct correspondence, and handle the matter to which the message relates. It is not used for automated profiling or sending marketing materials.
Messages are kept for as long as necessary to conduct correspondence, and may then be deleted, taking into account legal obligations regarding data retention.
Your rights
In terms of personal data, you have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy of it
- rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- erase data
- restrict processing
- object to processing
- data portability to another controller
Complaint to a supervisory authority
If you believe that your data is processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority - in the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), and in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
Data retention period
I retain correspondence data for the period necessary to reply and handle the matter, and if the message leads to cooperation - also for the period needed to fulfill it and comply with legal obligations.
Data transferred to external services may be subject to retention periods specified by those service providers. You should consult their current privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated alongside changes to the website. The date of the last update is provided at the top of the document, and the version in force is always available at this address.
